Use the Volume Discounts feature to award an additional discount, or multiple discount tiers for wholesale customers based on the contents of their cart to incentivize even larger orders.
Volume Discounts will be combined with any eligible wholesale discounts on your customers orders. Volume Discounts will also be applied to any product targeted by your discount tags.
This allows you to either offer bigger savings on top of your existing B2B Wholesale Hub discounts, or if you prefer, to only offer discounts on products if customers purchase them in set quantities.
All wholesale customers who meet your cart criteria will be eligible for volume discounts.
Note that B2B Wholesale Hub installs after February 5th, 2026 support up to 5 volume discount tiers.
Volume Discounts can be based on the following cart criteria:
Discounted cart total
If you installed B2B Wholesale Hub after February 5th, 2026, the discounted cart total option is not supported. It is only available for shops using our app that installed prior to February 5th, 2026.
Enter a spend goal in the discounted cart total minimum field and the percentage that will be added to the customer’s wholesale discount in the additional discount field.
In the example above, a customer with a 50% wholesale discount will receive a 55% discount on their order if their cart total is between $300 and $499. If their cart total is over $500, they will receive a 60% discount on their order.
Messages will appear in the cart to notify wholesale customers when Volume Discounts are available. Edit the language in the cart upsell message fields to promote any additional discounts that are available.
Cart total quantity
Enter a total cart quantity goal in the minimum cart quantity field and the percentage that will be added to the customer’s wholesale discount in the additional discount field.
In the example above, a customer with a 50% wholesale discount will receive a 55% discount on their order if they add 25-49 products to their cart, or a 57% discount on their order if they add 50-99 products to their cart, or a 60% discount on their order if they add over 100 products to their cart.
Single product quantity
Enter a single product quantity goal in the minimum product quantity field and the percentage that will be added to the customer’s wholesale discount in the additional discount field.
Additional discounts will only be applied to products that reach the minimum quantity set.
In the example above, a customer with a 50% off wholesale discount will receive a 55% discount on product A if they purchase it in a quantity of 100-149, or a 60% discount on product A if they purchase it in a quantity greater than 150.
Only products that meet the minimum product quantity goal are eligible for Volume Discounts.
Cart upsell messages
These cart upsell messages are only supported for B2B Wholesale Hub installations before February 5th, 2026. Installations after February 5th, 2026 instead have access to a volume table on your product page.
You can edit messages that appear on the cart page to notify your wholesale customers of additional discounts that are available. The language in the cart messages can be customized to reflect the type of Volume Discount that has been set up.
First volume discount: appears when the customer has not reached the spend goal or the quantity goal
Qualifying orders: appears when the spend goal or quantity goal is met
Next volume discount: appears as an upsell message if there is another discount tier available
Volume discount table
The B2B Wholesale Hub volume discount table is available only for B2B Wholesale Hub installations after February 5th, 2026.
After setting up your volume discount tiers, they will be shown automatically to your customers on your storefront’s product page in a collapsable table.
