Are third-party apps compatible with B2B Wholesale Hub?

Written by Emily

Some third-party apps can conflict with B2B Wholesale Hub because they also change pricing, checkout, or storefront rendering. Because Wholesale Hub changes pricing and discount behavior, apps that also change pricing, checkout, or storefront templates can cause conflicts. Due to the nature of this, there are some apps that are not compatible.

The following is a list of app categories that we typically see issues with. They may work in some cases, though, with the correct settings and configuration:

  • Apps that change product prices or discounts (for example, other wholesale pricing apps)

  • Apps that route customers to an external or custom checkout (for example, subscriptions or some delivery apps)

  • Apps that render storefront content using their own JavaScript templates (for example, page builders, search and filter apps)

When in doubt, test the apps together

While certain apps aren’t compatible, it’s often worth testing - we can’t be 100% sure that an app won’t cause issues until we see them interact together on your store.

Things to look out for when testing:

  • Duplicate your theme before testing.

  • Test while logged in as a tagged wholesale customer.

  • Confirm wholesale prices display on product and collection pages.

  • Confirm discounts apply correctly in the cart and at checkout.

  • If pricing does not update, discounts do not apply, or the cart/checkout behaves unexpectedly, contact Support.
