Syncing Wholesale Hub

This article is only applicable to stores that installed B2B Wholesale Hub before February 5, 2026. If you installed on or after that date, this information does not apply to you. Discounts will sync automatically.

Wholesale Hub syncs product and collection data when you:

  • Install the app

  • Create, edit, or delete a wholesale discount

  • Create, edit, or delete a product in Shopify admin

  • Delete a collection targeted by a wholesale discount

πŸ’‘ If you edit products frequently (manually or via another app), it is normal for sync status to stay In progress. This does not always mean syncing is stuck.

In your Wholesale Hub dashboard, you can see the status of a sync. It’s worth noting that if you have a large inventory, making a lot of updates at once can increase your sync time. Our team recommends planning for large product uploads overnight or during slow periods to give our app time to sync.

More specifically, we are confined by Shopify's API rate limits. We can only process 2 jobs per second and can only go as fast as the API allows us. This means you can gauge sync times roughly by multiplying 2 seconds by the number of products you are updating or adding.

πŸ”” Warehouse and inventory management apps can update products automatically, which may keep syncing active continuously. If syncing is constant, discounts may not apply reliably on the storefront. Contact Support to confirm whether your inventory app is compatible.

High volume stores

Some stores require a lot of admin updates such as editing products and collections or adjusting wholesale discount rules. This can trigger a higher-than-average amount of syncs which can create a backlog and longer sync times. For improved stability, high volume stores will be regularly synced every 24 hours instead of each time an admin change is made.
