How to install Wholesale Hub - theme integrations

Instructions on how to install Wholesale Hub to your theme via code.

Written by Emily

This article is for stores that installed B2B Wholesale Hub before February 5 2026. If you installed after February 5 2026, follow the app block setup guide → How to install Wholesale Hub - app blocks

After you add B2B Wholesale Hub to your store, the app needs to add code to your theme so wholesale discounts show on your storefront. You can do this using the app’s Theme Setup tool.

This install process makes a copy of your selected theme and installs the app only on that new copy. Your original theme is not altered at any time, and you can keep it as a backup. You can then preview this new theme and publish it whenever you’re ready.

💡 Do not delete your original theme. Keep it as a backup in case you need help from our support team to uninstal Wholesale Hub later. After the install, rename the original theme so it is easy to find.

First-time setup

  1. On B2B Wholesale Hub’s Welcome page, click Set up theme to show discounts.

  2. Prepare your theme by making sure you don't have any other apps installed that modify pricing. If your theme uses an AJAX or pop-up cart, switch to a page cart (instead of a drawer/pop-up) in your theme settings before you run setup. Click I'm Ready once your theme is prepared.

  3. Choose the theme you want to install B2B Wholesale Hub on from the dropdown menu, and click Run setup to initiate the install. The Theme Setup tool will automatically create an unpublished duplicate of that theme and install the app on that copy. Your live theme will not be affected.

Our support team will get in touch when your install is complete and your theme is ready to test.

🔔 Do not run the Theme Setup tool on the same theme multiple times. If you think the install did not work, contact support so we can check.

Reinstalling Wholesale Hub: theme integration

Wholesale Hub needs to be reinstalled when you update your theme. Theme developers will often release theme updates that include new features or bug fixes.

Step 1: Contact your theme developer

To manually update your theme, you'll need to contact your theme developer and obtain the latest version of your theme. You can then upload the updated version into your admin.

Before checking for updates or uploading a new theme, make sure to make a backup of your current theme first.

Step 2: Upload and customize your updated theme version

Upload your new updated theme into your Shopify admin, and customize your theme. If you want to replicate the styling of your previous version, your theme developer may be able to assist.

Step 3: Reinstall Wholesale Hub

Once you've uploaded and customized your new theme copy, run Wholesale Hub's Theme Setup tool to install the app making sure to select your new theme. This will create an exact copy of your updated theme and install Wholesale Hub on that copy.

If you originally installed before January 2026, make sure the theme copy with Wholesale Hub installed is using a page cart, as this version of Wholesale Hub is not compatible with AJAX/drawer carts.
