With markets support enabled, you can create percentage-based offers that apply to any markets other than your shop's primary market.
Your primary market uses the default currency configured for your shop.
Enabling markets support
Offers will not work in currencies outside your primary market until you enable the option in your app settings.
Follow these simple steps to enable markets support for your offers:
Step 1:
Open your app’s Settings page found under the Menu button in the top right corner of your app’s dashboard.
Step 2:
Scroll down the page and in the Markets support section, enable the option Percentage-based offers are valid to customers using all available currencies.
Step 3:
In the next section Applying discounts, enable the option Use a pre-filled discount code at checkout to apply discount.
Step 4:
After adjusting both of those setting options, click Save in the top right corner of the page.
Limitations:
There are some current limitations with markets compatibility to be aware of:
At this time Shopify’s markets can only support percentage-based discounts from your offers.
Offers configured to use discounts set to New price in or Discount amount cannot work in currencies other than the one used by your primary market.
This limitation also applies to the discount applied by the Free Gift offer.
Pro tip: Discounts that provide a 100% discount work great as a substitute for Free Gift offers. The BOGO offer is excellent at providing this type of discount.
