Using Ultimate Special Offers with Shopify POS

Ultimate Special Offers is compatible with the Shopify POS app so you can offer great promotions to your customers in-store as well as online.

When setting up an offer, make sure to select the box which applies your offer to the POS sales channel.

Applying discounts in the POS app

Offers do not apply automatically in the POS as they do on the online store. To apply discounts from your offers in the POS app for the first time, follow these steps:

Step 1

On the left-hand side of the POS cart, tap Add tile:

Step 2

Tap App, then select Ultimate Special Offers.

Step 3

In the POS cart, add any items eligible for your offer, then tap the Ultimate Special Offers tile now located along the left-hand side of the cart:

Step 4

After seeing a green confirmation banner, the discount from your offer will be visible in the cart.

Setting Up Promotions on Shopify POS

All discounts and promotions you set up in Ultimate Special Offers will apply to both online and POS customers. To ensure promotions work seamlessly with Ultimate Special Offers on Shopify POS:

  1. Verify App Compatibility: Ensure you are using the latest version of Shopify POS. Outdated app versions can interfere with the functionality of promotions or discounts. You can check for updates by visiting the app store on your POS device.

  2. Check Promotion Configuration: Make sure the promotions or discounts are correctly configured within the Ultimate Special Offers app. Review the setup process within the app to match the promotional structure you aim to implement.

Troubleshooting Tips

If promotional discounts are not functioning correctly on your Shopify POS:

  1. Ensure you are running the latest version of Shopify POS, as mentioned above.

  2. Verify the setup of your promotions within Ultimate Special Offers.

  3. Refer to the official documentation or support resources for updates or guidance on best practices.

  4. If issues persist, you may need advanced troubleshooting or support intervention.
