How to create automatic filters

Filters won't show up on your collection pages unless you've completed the app's manual code install. Click here for manual install instructions.

Automatic filters can be created to automatically sync with the following product information:

  • Options and variants (like size, colour, etc)

  • Product type field

  • Product vendor field

Below, find some instructions on setting up common automatic filter options.

Setting up a size filter

In order to have an automatic size filter, you'll first need to create size variants for your products. Click here for more information on creating variants in Shopify.

Once you've created your size variants, enter Size in the Automatic filters field in your app settings.

Click Save to save and sync the app. As the app syncs, it will automatically apply pick up on the size variants you've created and assign size tags to your products. Your filter will now show on your collection pages.

Tip: repeat these same steps to create an automatic colour filter or any other filter based on your products' variants.

Setting up type and vendor filters

Automatic filters can sync with what you enter in your Product type and Vendor fields. Click here for more information on setting up product details in Shopify.

Once you've entered information in your Product type and Vendor fields, enter Type or Vendor in the Automatic filters field in your app settings.

Click Save to save and sync the app.
